Unicommerce, India’s leading e-commerce enablement SaaS platform, today announced the launch of UniCapture, a video-based verification solution (VMS) designed to help D2C brands and e-commerce sellers automatically record and link short, timestamped videos to each order along with the order/transaction ID during packing and return inspections.
The solution is designed to help sellers in handling claims - replacing manual, inconsistent proofing with a seamless, automated process. Sellers no longer have to rely on system logs or assumptions; they now have visual, marketplace-acceptable evidence for every shipment and return.
In India, e-commerce disputes, especially over unverifiable returns, is a major challenge which creates friction between consumers and online sellers. The rapid growth of e-commerce has also seen an increase in return-related fraud, where fraudulent buyers misuse return policies by sending back incorrect, damaged, or counterfeit goods in place of genuine ones. This issue affects all ecosystem players including marketplaces, third-party sellers and D2C brands, creating a need to navigate a complex legal and regulatory landscape to resolve these disputes
With a video capture of each packing and return inspection, the brands and sellers have a ready, tech-tool to settle disputes in an evidence-based and time-efficient manner, thus reducing revenue leakage.
