Kolkata, India – November 2025: Since the beginning of 2025, artist Vandana Kapoor has been an integral member of Voyagers of Creation, an artists’ collective dedicated to presenting evocative artworks across Kolkata. The group has planned three major exhibitions this year, including its inaugural showcase in July 2025, a successful second exhibit held from 11 to 16 November 2025 at Birla Academy of Art and Culture, and a forthcoming third exhibition scheduled for December 2025.
The recently concluded exhibition, themed “Chrome Chronicles: Reflections of Life, Rendered in Colour”, offered a platform for the collective’s members to present deeply personal artistic expressions inspired by life’s many hues.
The event was graced by eminent guests: Prasanta Daw, veteran art critic and historian, who commended the initiative as “a great way to take forward and plant the culture of art museums in the country, something that future generations will appreciate, viewing art as both accessible and aspirational”.
Also in attendance were Tarak Garai, veteran sculptor and master of bronze casting, and Binita Bandyopadhyay, contemporary artist, printmaker, and Assistant Professor at GCE, Koderma, Jharkhand, who praised the collective’s bold approach, urging emerging artists “to listen deeply to their hearts and elevate the value of their creations without the burden of commercial expectation”.

About Vandana Kapoor
Vandana Kapoor is a self-taught artist based in Kolkata, whose work reflects her deep connection with India’s cultural richness, deities, and natural beauty. With over 30 years in the creative field, she began her journey in textile design before transitioning to painting, exploring canvas artistry over the last 15 years.
Her travels across Ahmedabad and Rajasthan inspired her celebrated piece Joy of Life, depicting a Kalbeliya dancer in motion, while her move to Kolkata a decade ago gave rise to the Jhalak Series, capturing the city’s vibrant contrasts of energy and serenity. Working primarily with acrylics, Vandana continues to experiment with textures and mediums, envisioning India on canvas.
Through her association with Voyagers of Creation, Vandana has participated in multiple exhibits, including the recent showcase at Birla Academy of Art and Culture. Her upcoming works will explore multimedia formats, blending traditional inspiration with modern expression.
