Livspace, India’s leading home interiors and design services platform, has come on board as the title sponsor of Delhi Redz, one of the six teams competing in the country’s first-ever Rugby Premier League (RPL). The league, which kicked off on June 15, marks a pivotal moment for Indian sport, introducing Rugby Sevens to a mainstream national audience for the first time.
Owned by RMZ Corp, Delhi Redz will compete alongside Mumbai Dreamers, Bengaluru Bravehearts, Chennai Bulls, Hyderabad Heroes and Kalinga Black Tigers. The team boasts a powerhouse line-up drawn from eight countries: Ireland, Kenya, Argentina, Spain, Hong Kong, Canada, Germany and India. Matías Osadczuk, who represented Argentina at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, has been named the captain. He is joined by a stellar lineup that includes fellow Argentine Matteo Graziano, widely regarded as one of the world’s best Sevens players, and Patrick Odongo, a breakout star from the Kenya Sevens side.
The team is coached by Tomasi Cama, the Fijian-born Sevens legend who became the all-time leading points scorer for the All Blacks Sevens and was named World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year in 2012, adding unmatched experience and prestige to the franchise.
"At Livspace, we’ve always believed in backing bold ideas, whether it is reimagining the way India designs its homes or supporting new stories in sport,” said Kartikeya Bhandari, Chief Marketing Officer, Livspace. “Our partnership with Delhi Redz is a reflection of that mindset. It gives us a meaningful way to connect with a young, urban audience, while being part of something that is fresh, ambitious and built for India. We’re excited to stand alongside RMZ as we help bring rugby into the national conversation," he added.
Sidharth Menda and Mihir Menda, members of the Supervisory Board, RMZ, said, “Delhi RedZ was built to ignite a new chapter for sport in India — bold, inclusive, and future-facing. Livspace joining us as title sponsor strengthens that vision. This is more than a sponsorship; it’s a shared belief in building cultural relevance and national impact. Together, we’re not just supporting a team. We’re shaping a movement that puts rugby on India’s main stage and inspires the next generation of fans and athletes.”
To be held over 15 days, the tournament features 34 high-octane matches, including four playoffs, offering Indian audiences a never-before-seen format of professional rugby competition.
Team: Matias Osadczuk (C), Matteo Graziano, Robin Henry, Raj Kumar, Alejandro Castro, Sunil Chavan, Rajdeep Saha, Michael Coverdale, Moritz Noll, Deepak Punia, Jordan Pascal Conboy, Mohit, Patrick Odongo.
