The MoU was formally exchanged at UST’s Thiruvananthapuram Campus and outlines a multi-dimensional partnership between UST and BITS Pilani that will promote innovation, talent nurturing, and joint research to bridge academia and industry for creating solutions with real-world impact. The partnership aims to focus on advanced research and co-creation in frontier domains such as Photonics, Quantum Computing, VLSI, Humanoid Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and MedTech.

As part of GenCyS 2025, UST will host the Capture-The-Flag (CTF) competition, designed to challenge and identify top cybersecurity talent across India. The winning team will receive a prize pool of ₹7.5 lakhs. The CTF competition is open for registrations until 30 July. On August 2, an online preliminary round will kick off the competition. The 24-hour grand finale will be held on-site at the UST campus in Thiruvananthapuram on August 23–24, 2025.

Organised by UST, a leading digital transformation company, in collaboration with NEB Sports, the second edition of the UST Trivandrum Marathon will start from UST Campus, and will include four different events, such as Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K Run, and 5K Fun Run, similar to what was organised in the 2024 Marathon.
