DGT under the MSDE has joined hands with Aditya Birla Capital Foundation (ABCF) & Pilani Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS) to promote Innovation & Entrepreneurship among students in all National Skills Training Institutes (NSTI) across the country.  At present, there are 33 NSTIs operational in the country, where more than 10,000 students pursuing skill training under the Craft Instructor Training Schemes (CITS) and Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS).

In pursuance of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call for a Viksit Bharat, the MSDE and the School and Higher Education Departments of Ministry of Education (MoE) convened a joint high-level interaction today at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi. The MSDE opened the registration link for IndiaSkills Competition (ISC) 2025. The competition will feature 63 skills for which participants from all 36 states and UTs will compete. Registrations can be completed online via the SIDH portal until 30 September. This biennial competition is designed to identify, nurture, and reward India’s most talented youth, preparing them to represent the nation on international stages such as the WorldSkills Competition (WSC) 2026.

In a significant step towards strengthening bilateral ties in education and workforce development, the Government of India and the Government of France have signed a MoU to collaborate in the fields of skill development, vocational education, and training. The MoU was signed in presence of Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), MSDE and MOE, GOI, Shri Jayant Chaudhary, during the Bharat SkillNxt 2025, held on July 22, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

To align school education with vocational training and create seamless learning pathways for youth, a National Workshop on Onboarding State/UT Education Boards as Dual Category Awarding Bodies under NCVET was held today at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi. The workshop was jointly organised by the DoSE&L, Ministry of Education, MSDE, and the NCVET, as part of a whole-of-government effort to integrate vocational education with the formal schooling system in line with NEP 2020.
